Coaching

Maintain Your Motivation for Change. Coaching can help.

What exactly is Coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative process that focuses on helping you identify, clarify, and achieve your goals.

It also helps you focus on identifying the obstacles and personal behaviors that are preventing you from achieving your goals. Coaching helps you create and maintain your motivation for change.

Develop and execute specific, and targeted, strategies that will help you achieve the results you desire.

Some of the issues that people work on through coaching include starting a new business or growing a current business, achieving greater financial security or total financial independence, improving communication skills at home or work, achieving a greater work/life balance, developing and implementing strategies for specific business problems, and many other issues.

Coaching saved Jennifer’s career.

Jennifer is a mid-level executive at an architectural engineering firm. After being promoted and assigned to lead a new business development project, she found herself responsible for three times more team members than her previous position.

“My last team had worked closely together for the last seven years, so our relationships were quite developed. I had to do very little supervising with that team as we all had fantastic synergy together.”

During the first few months of the project, Jennifer experienced increasing frustration in her ability to manage the day-to-day operations of several members of her team.

“It seems as though no matter what directions I provide or tasks I delegate they often either misunderstand or ignore my input and instruction.”

After several months of increasing frustration and a noticeable lack of progress, Jennifer was forced to make some changes.

“I was given an ultimatum by my senior VP of business development: either fix the problems with my team or be removed from the project.”

Through coaching, Jennifer worked at identifying the barriers that hindered her ability to communicate effectively with specific members of her team.

“I’ve always considered myself to be an effective communicator. However, through coaching I’ve discovered the ways my ability to communicate falls apart when I’m confronted with specific types of conflict or disagreement.”

We designed and implemented specific communication and conflict resolution strategies for Jennifer to use with each member of her team with whom she struggled.

“For the first time, I felt as though I had an actual strategy for productively dealing with conflict with my team. I learned how to properly identify what the real problems were and how to find cooperative solutions that respected both sides of the conversation. This has made me a much more effective colleague, team leader, and friend.”

Don’t miss out on the benefits of coaching.

Some of the benefits achieved from coaching include improved quality of life, greater performance and productivity, enhanced learning, improved personal and professional relationships, more time for enjoyment, and increased creativity.

Coaching also offers greater flexibility and adaptability to change, more adaptability to cultural change, increased motivation, faster and more effective emergency response, better use of people, skills, and resources, and new life skills.
